lots of pictures

Well, I haven't blogged in at least a week.. or more. JarJar left me a comment how he knew that I was busy, but please put up some pics.. so I guess maybe a few people do visit here and like seeing what I'm up to.. so I've got tons of pictures from the weekend.

I've resized them and cropped many but have not done any tweaking or correcting, I just haven't had time.

so here goes.. with a few words for each. Not everyone has a costume yet, but I tried to get some pictures of the people that did.

This is what women will dress like in the future: :-D

Bruno, in his futuristic garb:

Luc as Sire Languedoc.. not sure he'll have bare legs like that though: LOL

Cynthia and Danielle chatting in the wings:

Again a portion from the first act. I tend to show this one a lot since I'm not on-stage. Only other part really is while waiting in the wings... during a short portion of the 3rd act:

I know you've seen similar, but we redo these scenes, over and over: This is the first time with the slanted decor though. The floor looks very white.. but will have a patina added to them .. right now all they tend to do is be blown out by the spotlights:

Suzanne playing the piano and enjoying the show at the same time. She is an incredible pianist:

Stéphane St-Jean, our very talented and wonderfully sweet director:

Philippe wearing some futuristic garb, I have a better picture coming up later:

This is the pretty thief, she's from medieval times:

Past, present and future, collide!:

We started getting pieces for the decor:

Anyone who's ever done any construction or hanging of heavy object will recognize the spikes coming out of the back of these futuristic boots:

The peasants all look like they've gained 100 lbs:

This is Thérèse, she's 65! She looks great if you ask me! :

Catherine looks so regal, don't you think?:

Suzanne, the pianist, posing with The Pretty Lieutenant and Captain Proton! :

The futuristic couple runs through one of their pieces:

This picture made me laugh.. they almost look like they are all praying:

Valerie is the scenarist, she makes me think of the girls meowza draws! :

Éliane, she plays Ève. She specifically told me to tell everyone that the striped
thights are not part of her costume, but her regular clothes! :

While on break, Éliane receives some instruction from the choreographer:

Luc, (Sire Languedoc) pondering posterity and prosperity! :

I can't believe I cut off his feet! darn :P :

Serge plays a Bard, who cannot only stop singing (he drives us a bit nutty) but also is a bit yellow! :

If those aren't a gang of Drama Queens, I don't know who are: :-D

resting during a break!:

While some rest, others play. These are Bruno, the writer's children and they love playing with Philippe and he loves playing with them too. As you can see here, he is readying to put one of them in a cardboard box, our temporary "caldren".

Again, Philippe, playing with the boys! :

Most of us just want to rest our feet though!:

Some were more pooped than others:

This is part of the decor. It doesn't look like much right now, but it will. It is very much like a transformer, here it will be part of a pirate ship.. in the first act it is landscape and in the second becomes a colloseum. Of course all these will look much more real with the background that will be continually moving behind us. I will perhaps upload some background images tomorrow. They are not onstage yet, just pics I took off a laptop screen. They are horrible quality because of the LCD but I assure you wonderful:

Marcel.. I can't wait to see him in his robot costume.. alas, it's not ready yet! :
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The prisoners on the pirate ship have outsmarted the pirates and procured their weapons:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

As all decent pirate ship should have.. a fight!:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And he takes him out!:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

While everone is on the pirate ship, the orchestra will be wearing these shark hats.. in the pit.. so people in the audience will only see these fins! :-D

I know I uploaded a ton of images, but I just couldn't decide which ones not to show... I hope you enjoyed them anyways!

Until soon, I hope!

Fall is in the air

It's been awhile, hasn't it?

I've been running around, filling and filing papers. This whole mess is just too much and perhaps when get this all done, I can try and find myself again. Right now, it's humiliating to have to recount what's happening to me to strangers, to lawyers, secretaries and banks etc.,

On a sweet note, I went to see the doctor yesterday. The results of my blood test were very good, he was very pleased and so am I.

The weather today was so beautiful. It was warm, warm enough to go out in short sleeves but not that hot, muggy warm of summer ... but warm enough so that even though the beginning of October, I could still hear the crickets. The air is crisp and dry and the leaves have started to turn.

Went to the small park by the school:

Here are a few pics! :

This is in the gully behind my house. I liked how the bare tree looked against
the colorful leaves of the trees behind. Almost made me think of the silhouette of a tree against a sunset.

A little stream with rocks:

Lovely orangey maple leaves. :-)

These make the birds smile and sing sweet songs!

Besides that, I've been experimenting in Photoshop with a new technique that a new member at Artalyst has been showing me. His name is Steve Sperry and he does amazing abstract art that is very free. His website is called Mighty Sight Studio . If you like abstract art, take a look, as his images are full of rhythm and glowing light.
